Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a deep black with a thin tan colored head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, dark fruitiness. Taste is rich roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, light ashy, very balanced.

18/9/2021. Bottle shared with J&K. From Sir Toby's Beers, Norwich. Pours black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, cocoa, dried fruits, liquorice. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Bittersweet roasted fruity finish. Enjoyed this.

Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium body, light creamy texture, soft carbonation. Warming lightly spiced finish. Nicely done.

Tangy fruity finish, developing bitterness, spicy edge. Very nice.

7/7/2021. Bottle from Norfolk Food & Drink Co, Cromer. 4.0% and an English Ale not an Old Ale. Pours clear amber with a large frothy just off-white head. Aroma is malty, earthy, bready, marmalade, caramel, biscuit. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, quite fizzy. Flavourful but with a rough edge to the finish.
