330ml can from the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is mango, tropical fruits. The flavour is over moderate bitter with big piney, tart fruit, super dry, warm boozy, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. A big beer in so many ways, but with so many competing flavours that didn’t sit well together.

Brilliant white rocky head on a hazy deep golden coloured body. Malt, apricot & orange aroma. Medium to full bodied, tingly with a smoother clean back. Bitter, resinous, orange & malt tastes with an extremely hopped up pithy finish. Overkill.

Yeastie Boys The Reflex Modern Lager 4.6% Pale gold with a thick fizzy white topping of foam that leaves decent lacing behind. The aroma is a citrusy white grape hop bouquet. Medium to full bodied with a slightly scratchy mouthfeel and crisp finish. Vibrant fruit, a touch of herbal notes and a nice little hop bite. Very refreshing and crisp. I’m digging it.

Can from the Low Cost Beer online shop. Pours hazy light brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of chocolate covered raisins, honeycomb. Light bramble. Taste is nutty by comparison. Some toffee, more chocolate. Clean enough on the finish.

The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a fresh, dry, crisp, malt, juicy orange, tart grapefruit, light floral, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
