Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow to orange with white head. Aroma was funky barnyard. Taste was funky yeast, sweet fruit and malt, with a light grain edge.

Draft: Poured orange with a slight off white head. Aroma is nice citrus hops. Taste is a nice passion fruity hops bitter with a balanced finish.

Can - Lots of cocoa and roast with some dried coffee. Jet brown with a rich brown head. Dark and roasty with some nice chocolate notes and a touch of sweet bitterness. Nice dry finish.

[1/30/16] Bottle sample at the Encomium bottle share, after RateBeer Best awards ceremony at Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel in Santa Rosa. Thanks everyone who shared bottles! Cloudy yellow. Fruity esters aroma. Sweetish flavor, fruity, a bit spicy. Medium-bodied.

Bottle thanks to Tom. Pours a hazy brown with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong caramel, booze, vanilla, wood. Medium mouth, toffee, bourbon, oak, light finish, good.

Can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of roasted malt and a little cocoa. Flavour is along the same lines, with roasted malt, dry cocoa and oats. Well-balanced with a fairly robust body. Nice one.
