Bottle at Mes Tasting. Cloudy amber-brown with a mild head. Malts, light fruits, brown sugar. Almost smells like a malt liquor. Medium sweet, light leaves and tart fruits, mild caramel. Medium in body with fine to lively carbonation. Bit of booze to finish, some faint malts and fruit. Not very good.

Cloudy amber, no head. Aroma of sweet ripe fruits. Leafy hops in flavour with sweet malts beneath. Alright. Cask, half at The Castle in Holborn, London 4 Oct 10.

Golden-amber colour. The aroma is lightly malty, maybe a hint of caramel. Spicy-juicy character - that’s somewhat unique - an ok beer.

Cask at the Southwark Tavern, London on 7th Sept 2010. Slightly hazy gold, thin greyish film and part patchy lacing. Grassy herb in the main, with a citric finish and a watery mouthfeel.

Cask (Southampton Beer Festival 2010) - Hazy amber in colour. The taste has some hoppy notes with grapefruit and toffee detected. The taste is nicely balanced with grapefruit and spicy malt evident.

[Gravity cask at Chippenham beerfest] Brown sauce, autumn fruits, a hint of smoke, earthy and a dry finish. The brown sauce is a little odd, but it grew on me. OK.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2010. Orange deep colour. Thin cream head. Diacetyl. But then lovely strawberry jam fruit. Diacetyl aroma dies down. Good finish.

Cask handpull at Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Copper colour, thin beige head. Like a strawberry fruit bitter. Strawberry fruit gets a bit sweet and cloying. Dies really.
