A tasty and solid Belgian dubbel ale, a classic made in Switzerland, a bit boozy, well balanced with the aromas of malt, smooth and a bit sweet, sugar, toffee, fruity and floral, regular hop at the final. 18.04.2021, making holiday in family in Haute Nendaz.

Hazy dark amber color with medium sized head, not persistent. Aroma (smell?) of vegetables, brown sugar. Highly carbonated, dry mouthfeel, caramel flavor, strong vegetable presence, metallic, iron, medium-strong bitterness.

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, floral, flowers - elderflowers, moderate yeasty, fruity, yeast. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, yeast, floral, sweet malt - yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120324]

Cloudy golden color. The aroma has light fruits and yeast. Dry mouthfeel, weak, with almost no flavor and no bitterness. Low carbonation. No elderflower.

Bottle @ Miss January / AA Meeting Afterparty Tasting, March 2012. Pours hzy dark yellow with a large foamy head. Yeast, rubber, slight alcohol. A bit of spices and flowers. Medium bodied.

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, grain, fruity, moderate yeasty, farmyard - barnyard notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, yeasty, fruity, spicy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110702]

Bottled. Slightly hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, some nectar as well as some slight yeasty notes. Flavour is quite much the same in a quite nice, but rather wooden dry mouth palate.
