On tap at 'Brugs Beertje haze amber colour lasting cream head. Not overly sour. Some green apple some toffee. Some sour on finish. Some dried apple pieces. Some light toffee. I liked it.

my young American friends saw this one in a cooler at a burger restaurant in Reykjavik so I used it to introduce them to the wide and wonderful world of gueuze. I did not ask the price, and I would rather not know. It was a very typical 3-F gueuze with the mild funk and nicely balanced flavor I have come to know and love. My friends liked it too, so I am happy to share the love.

Bottle, no head, cloudy oxidized burgundy red colour, aroma of dried cherries, a bit of varnish, vanila, sewer and minerals, flavour of dried cherries, spiciness, a bit of glue and almonds and some yoghurt, medium, very strong and a bit astringent briney sourness. Highly enjoyable.

Pitcher at the source. Hazy to cloudy golden color, almost still. Aroma of overripe mixed fruit and light funk. Taste is lightly tart, light body, light earth. Nice.

Pours clear, dark orange. Scent is glue (velpon), glycerine. Taste is very boozy, oloroso glycerine, juicy, harsh, but also nutty, oaky, and quite good. Def to alcoholic, actual sherry of 22 % (and unoficially, sometimes more) is way less boozy. Also really not a fan of the clinical velpon-like aroma's, seems like the added alcohol is the main issue for me. Way better than the base version of fortified lambic, but still not up to par with the quality of actual sherry (which is also far cheaper) and not comparable to any other lambic-based beers. A bit lost in the middle.
