Tasting at Oakes' Manor
Hazy amber colour. Balsamic sour beer with a good body, some cherry flavour, tiny earthiness in the finish.

500mL bottle, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dark, tart cherries, some oak, and a touch of balsamic. Flavour is along the same lines, with balsamic, dark dried cherries, and some oak. Nicely tart, with a pretty pronounced cherry character. Very nicely constructed.

Amber-brown. Thin head. On the nose, this has a rich balsamic note with a woody, cherryish note. The palate has a rich cherry, moderate tartness, another touch of balsamic, and a balanced malt note. This is really good, that almondy cyanide note from the cherry pit.

22 oz bottle poured. A peach golden orange pour with plenty of haze and glittery sediment. Loose foam bubble head. Flavor is rich with peach, and obvious sweet side to it, but a fitting profile. Juicy orange and peach nose. A citrus like hop profile gently bitters. Long fruit juice linger. Interesting brew here. Enjoyed this.

Draft at the Seattle Taproom at SeaTac airport. Nose is vanilla caramels, honey, and a hint of floral. Hazy amber brown with a small beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet and malty with only the slightest hint of bitter. Awesome to find something this tasty at an airport.

22 oz bottle poured. A nice, high quality imperial here for the low cost bomber. Really impressed with this. A golden pour, soft haze, fizzing foam head. Aroma just explodes with grapefruit. Juicy taste, and much lighter and more mild for an imperial in every category other than flavor. Name of the beer describes it better than I ever could. Juicy, true grapefruit and tangerine flavor, with a low bitter citrus finish. I love a grapefruit IPA, and this one is precise. I've always set Grapefruit Sculpin as a go to IPA, but with this local option being so good, I really hope it sticks around beyond the season.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of tropical stone fruits, piney hops and a hint of dankness. Flavour is wonderfully fruity and piney, with lots of piney hops, tropical stone fruits and light dankness. Creamy piney hops and juicy fruits coat the palate leaving almost no bitterness. Excellent.

Aromas are fairly traditional for a Scotch ale dark malt a hint of roast barest hint of peat a little toffee and molasses. Flavors are like nose with a bit of metallic peat is hard to find and sweet dominates. Body is okay with a bit of chalk okay carbonation. Finishes all right.
