Bottle at CaptainCougar’s local tasting, thanks! Bright and clear amber. Aroma of very light scotch. Taste is pure whiskey, over the top.

Full pint draft at the Harbor Public House on Bainbridge Island, Washington. Pour ia a hazed orange golden with a smallish white head. Nice lacing as the beer goes down. Aroma is gently toasted malt, along with a bright citrus and a more muted yeast garlic. Fresh and inviting nose. Taste is nicely unfiltered for a lager, with the toasted malt, lightly sweet caramel, citrus and yeast notes from the nose. The yeast carries the finish, which gives it a bit of an unclean taste. Palate is thin to medium bodied, nice bright carbonation and the aforementioned dirtier finish. This worked good with pub food.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours copper with a bubbly beige head. Aroma is sweetish caramel. Med body. Flavor starts like cola. Not very bitter. Makes me think of marzen. Does finish more bitter than not.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours light amber with a creamy/foamy off-white head. Aromas of fresh stone fruits and mild caramel. Med body. Comes off astringent to me. And floral. And fruity. It’s just delicious.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours dark ruddy amber with no head. Rich vinous and dark fruit aromas. Full bodied. Flavor starts oaky/vanilla, goes to sweet dark malt, and then there’s something like date/raisin/prune. A very little smoke towards the end. Finishes more sweet than dry, but far from sticky sweet. Oak at the end as well.

Bomber courtesy of riversideAK. It pours brilliant clear copper with off white head. The aroma is full with spicy hops, grapefruit, pineapple and lemon grass. The taste is robust, just to style, with thick resiny hops dropping big bitter notes like pine, grapefruit, tangelo, orange peel and pineapple. It also carries a fair amount of hop flavor as well as a touch of the sweet malt base. Very yummy IIPA.

Tap at Brouwer’s. Pours orange gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is very floral/perfumey. Flavor is astringently fruity. Nicely bitter. Sort of a lingering oilness - definitely not diacetyl tho. This is a very nice medium light and quite flavorful ale.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours dark ruddy copper with a beige head that left rapidly. Aromas of malt, spice, and perhaps a bit of vanilla. Near full bodied. A bit sticky. Malty. It is rather Xmas spice, but pretty light. There’s bitter, but barely enough, or even not enough to cut the malt. Bitter seems to be building tho. Even seems less sticky with time. Starting to seem a hint evergreen. Different.
