22 oz bottle courtesy of bvc. Pour is cloudy orange caramel brown. Nicely formed one inch tan head. Falls rocky with no lacing. Aroma of banana and clove yeastiness, some toasted brown sugar sweetness underneath that. Taste is initially wheat and cloves, than transition to the somewhat smoky brown sugar, finishing with some dried citrus fruit sweetness. Finish is a little sharper than I like, but is clean and well made. Palate is on the thin side of medium, almost watery. This makes it quite easy to drink, but does not hide the alcohol too well. Overall, nice beer. Thanks Brandon.

22 oz bottle drank at Uber Tavern in Seattle. Pour is a very cloudy brown ruby with not much tan head. Aroma of caramel biscuit malt, vanilla, and peat earthiness. Aroma is pretty faint. Taste is peat malt, some toasted malt roastiness. Flavor is flatter than the nose. Palate is medium, lightish on the palate and a bit chalky. Overall, pretty benign.

OK. So this should technically be a different rating as they made a one off of this for Ushitora bar in Tokyo that was aged in Jim Beam bourbon barrels, but I am not going to put it here anyways. ABV came out at 9.5%. Very dark brown color, big big bourbon nose with dark chocolate, dark cherries. Med-light bodied. Butterscotch becomes more apparent in mouth along with the bourbon and dark chocolate. Rich, but too light bodied. Moderately chocolatey finish.

A keg of this was specially sent to Ushitora and it was dry hopped. Dark amber color, huge caramel nose with faint hints of cherries and oranges. Big caramel notes up front in the mouth then strawberries, cherries and oranges. Lucious. Big and beautiful. Dry hopping wasnt that noticable. Not bad, but not over the top.

Draught @ Hales Ales Brewery and Pub, Seattle. Pours a clear golden color with a longlasting off-white head. Malty hoppy aroma with some floral hints. Malty hoppy caramel and citrus flavor. Has a malty hoppy finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

On tap @ Uber. Pours crystal clear gold with white head. The aroma is fresh and crisp with a note of floral hops followed by bolder notes of grainy malts and creamed corn. Very little sense of the ABV (where off putting fusels almost define the style). The taste is much the same with persistent floral hops throughout along with grainy malts and corn on the cob. It gets sweet with sugary malts at times. Best of the style I’ve had to date. Very nice brew.

.4 liter pour at Uber Tavern in Seattle, Washington. Pour is hazed orange amber with a small, but think and creamy head. Aroma of big orange citrus resin pine hops and richly sweet caramel malt. Really superb nose. Taste is very much the nose, really nicely balanced with the hops in perfect concert with the maltiness. This is not a DIPA that really knocks you over the head with hops and a huge maltiness, rather just an amped up and delicious IPA. Palate is grainy, and matches the beer well.

.3 liter draft pour at Uber Tavern in Seattle, Washington. Pour is clear golden with a thin white head. Aroma of floral corn and sweet maltiness. Also, a decent amount of alcohol on the nose. Its more of a medicinal alcohol, but alcohol nonetheless. Taste is sharp sweet malt corn and the medicinal alcohol. Palate was quite carbonated, and this one actually was well integrated despite the description I just gave. Overall, a first class Malt Liquor. Thanks Uber for putting this one on a bit early.

Bomber from Safeway, Port Angeles; Nose has grassy and flowery hops with a hint of pine, caramel and a lihjt vanilla note; orange-copper with a good sized orange tinged, beige head that laces lightly; flavor has hop bitterness, a pine note, and a good dose of caramel malt; finishes very lightly bitter. Good rendition of an IPA!
