16 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Chestnut brown color. Creamy beige head is finger-high. Aromas of sweet malt and orange. Flavor is bittersweet toasted malt, orange peel and warming alcohol. Some stickiness on the palate. A hint of bourbon on the backend.

Can pour, almost black. Dry charred wood and dark chocolate aroma. Dry, bitter and herbal notes - hint of licorice, char and alpine bitter herbs.
Nice and roasty on a cold and dreary day.

Draft. Pours black, with a small, beige head. The nose is licorice, coriander, milk chocolate, bourbon, light apple, and pumpernickel. Sweet and malty, a touch boozy, and just enough bitterness for balance. Heavy body, syrupy, and smooth. Complex and unusual, but quite tasty.
RB score 3.75
Edible kicking in. So boozy.
