Smells of that ever-so-average tinniness and hops, some alcohol, and a whole lot of water. Not much in terms of head, and what there was was gone pretty quick. Colour is yellow, straight through, nothing special. Taste is malts and some bitter aftertaste, a little grain in there. Not much alcohol, but what do you expect for a 4% brew. Dry finish. An okay African lager, better than some, soundly in the middle of the pack.

Smells like bread with perhaps a slight hint of fruit, something like rotten apples in there. Looks like cider with a deep orange hue. Has a soft apple taste with bread on the back-end, perhaps that means grains but it seems more like bread to me. Not at all a bad shandy and has enough of a beer kick that you’ll remember it’s not just a fruity drink.

Bottle. I’m not quite sure how this ended up on the shelves in Pittsburgh, but whatever. Pours a medium/light gold with a pretty good head on it. Aromas and flavor are similar: corn, grass and a little bit of honey or pear sweetness... (but then maybe it’s just more corn.)

Bottle, 33cl. Yellow, little head. Sweet malt aroma, straw and cereal. Fresh and clean malt flavour, rather balanced between sweets and hops. Tasted cold on the evening of a hot day, and it works well in this setting. Overall: not a great lager, but it compares favouritly to other beers in the region.

The can looks a bit cheap, the beer in the glass is okay. Starts mild, like water, the finish is a bit sourish, notes of lemon. Not bad.
