Description
Flying Dog Brewery is a craft brewery located in Frederick, Maryland. It was founded in 1990 as a brewpub in Aspen, Colarado by George Stranahan and Richard McIntyre. Demand for Flying Dog beers quickly grew beyond the brewpub's capacity. In 1994, the company opened a 30-barrel brewery (Broadway Brewing Company) in Denver. Looking to expand again in 2006, Flying Dog purchased Frederick Brewing Company in Frederick, Maryland and began producing beer in both Maryland and Colorado. In December 2007, Flying Dog announced that it was closing the Denver brewery and would solely produce beer in its Frederick facility.

From the ex grain d'orges Crissier, it sounded more a strong ale than a winter ale, malty, warm alcool, typical touch of hop of them, 05.03.19

Ok, got a cheap bottle of this from chalet. Nose boozy artificial fruit. Eye is darker pale and clear. Taste is boozy as well, come on FD, you just trying to attract tickers? This is so much a alky bomb, I'm not going to comment. No sign of apple vanilla within. Maybe spices, but WTF? I'm just a ticking whore and I think this is addressed to me. There, you have it. Does intended, gets you a quick buzz. At least it was in a bottle. Haven't seen any FD in cans yet.

Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to nonic glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a three finger eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet coffee to roasty coffee notes; slight milk chocolate notes and a touch of dark chocolate further underneath
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet and roasty quality; finishes chocolatey and coffee sweet
Texture: medium bodied, sessionable; very smooth along the tongue; good carb level
Overall: good cold brewed coffee porter worth coming back to.
