Description
The Beer Joint is Leesburg's biggest and best brewery, restaurant and lounge providing the finest food, burgers and bourbons in the business.

Admin Note: Formerly known as Vintage 50, in 2014 the owner decided to rebrand as 'The Beer Joint'. No change to beer recipes after the change, only a different marketing approach to the brand. Brewery went out of business in late 2014.

Cask at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy straw color witha medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of big basil notes, thyme and citrus. The taste is big basil notes, soap, citrus, faint pale malts. Medium bodied. Way too heavy on the basil.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a medium sized creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toasted malts, bread, spice, dry citrus. The taste is bread, spice, citrus and earthy notes. Medium bodied.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear red color with a thin white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of caramel, toasted malts, toffee. The taste is toffee, caramel, berries and faint herbal notes. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear copper color with a thin creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of big rye notes, earth, caramel, citrus, toasted malts. The taste is caramel and toasted malts with a big rye finish. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

Had this at the NOVA Fall Brewfest. Poured golden yellow color with a small white head. Aroma is light malts caramel, and a touch of herbal hops. Flavor is caramel, malts. This beer was smooth and had a pretty clean finish. Refreshing Oktoberfest beer.

Served on draft at the Virginia Craft Brewers Festival, Devils Backbone, 8/25/12. Pours a clear copper color with a thin creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of caramel, stone fruits, floral hops. The taste is very fruity with caramel and toasted malt finish. Medium bodied.

Aroma of caramel, smoke and earthy notes. The taste is caramel, smoke and faint astringency. Medium bodied, clean and refreshing. Nice beer.

Aroma of sweet malts with faint corn notes. The taste is bitter grassy hops and peach-like fruit notes. Medium bodied,

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark brown color with a large frothy brown head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, bitter coffee. The taste is coffee, roasted malts, sweet chocolate and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange color with nearly no head. Aroma of honey, citrus, wheat, banana and big spicy notes. The taste is wheat, caramel, honey, tropical fruits, spice. Medium bodied with slight lingering spice. 700th Virginia rating!
