Growler thanks to Schlais! Pours opaque black, medium brown creamy head that dissipates slowly leaving nice lacing. Really a great job with the growler fill too, btw. Aroma is roasted malt, oak, whiskey, anise, chocolate. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, chocolate, vanilla, touches of oak and anise, a whiskey feel to it. Just a bit of astringency from the oak. Medium plus body, creamy mouthfeel. Perhaps a tad bit hot. This turned out to be a really nice beer. Its not one of those beat you over the head, this one goes to 11 impys. It is restrained, balanced, smooth and clean, and it just all comes together nicely. Great job!@

At Town Hall. Muddy brown appearance with a one inch head. Sweet malt and some light wheat sweetness. Light bourbon in both the aroma and the flavor that accentuates, rather than dominates the other flavors and aromas, which includes some vanilla.

Lightly sour aroma. Not a dubbel but a Flanders brown. Light whiskey in the flavor and aroma. Good.

Sampled at Winterfest 2014. Lots of coconut and raspberry aroma. Thick and heavy, a sweet beer. Raspberry flavor is prominent, and the coconut less so. Fantastic beer.

Tap at Town Hall Tap. Opaque brown-black body. Massive beige head. Sweet brown chocolate aroma. Starts off big and sweet, finishes a little hollow. Almost has an oak, vanilla edge. Big and rich, well done. Quality. I guessed 8.5%..pretty close.

Tap at Town Hall Tap. Amber-brown-orange body. Steady creamy beige head. Nice citrus edge, smooth malt backbone. Some English Ringwood in the aftertaste. Woody toffee. Good, but relatively standard brewpub fare. Leaning into the medium dark malts more than most US Pales. OK.

On tap @ Town Hall Tap. Pours a dark reddish orange appearance with a brown head. Nutty, cola, caramel, a bit spicy aroma. Cookie, toffee, kind of chewy, sweet caramel, somewhat piney hoppy flavor. A bit strange but not bad.

On tap @ Town Hall Tap. The menu says that this is the 2013 version (White Winter Imperial Wit). Pours a cloudy yellow orange appearance with a white head. Very spicy, orange peel, vanilla, wheat, zesty aroma. Lightly tart, floral/potpourri, wheat, citrusy, very spicy coriander flavor. Pretty good.
