Tap. Pours clear reddish amber with a small beige head and nice lacing. Aroma is tons or caramel and toffee, with a grainy note in the background, as well as a bit of raisin. Flavor is medium sweet with notes of chocolate coming through as it warms. Medium body.

Tap. Pours clear amber with a small off-white head and great lacing. Aroma is fairly weak, with notes of pine, spruce and citrus. Flavor is about the same, lightly sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Not bad, but I am not sure what all the fuss is about.

Tap. Pours clear amber with a small off-white head and great lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, tangerine, and pine. Flavor is about the same, lightly sweet bready and pretty bitter for an APA. Lightly astringent, with a medium body.

Tap. Pours clear golden yellow with a small white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is grain, grass and corn syrup. Flavor is lightly sweet and light grassy bitter. Light bodied, with prickly carbonation in the mouth.

Sampled at GABF. Pours a clear orange with some white head. Fresh, piney nose, earthy, sweet, fruity. Sweet, malty flavor, orange, pine. Sessionable and dry. An easy drinker.

Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Pitch black pour with a medium khaki head and a partial ring of lace. Aroma of malt and coconut. Light and creamy body with flavors of toasted coconuts, malt and mild coffee. The finish is sweet with a coconut aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. This brew is brownish-black with a medium tan head and small patches of lacing. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla and malt. Full-bodied and very chocolatey with notes of coffee and roast malt. The finish is smooth mocha goodness. Good beer all around.

Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character and notes of citrus and malt. The finish is grainy malt and hops. Decent overall.

750 ml bottle received in trade. Thank you Pandableh! Pours oily viscous pitch black with a nice-looking frothy dark mocha head that slowly dissipates while sticking to the glass leaving some thick lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with roasted malts, quality dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, vanilla fudge, roasted coconut, charred wood, chocolate cake, black pepper, burnt caramel, toffee and sweet dark bread. Taste is sweet, bitter, tiny sour and malty with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, dark roast coffee, prunes, brown sugar, vanilla fudge, roasted caramelized nuts, pine, lemon zest, moist soil, moist wood and sweet dark bread. Mouthfeel is round, smooth, soft, silky and full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, dark quality chocolate, dark roast coffee, pumpernickel, dark honey, coconut, charred wood and vanilla fudge. If it wasn’t for the weird sourness this could have been the perfect beer.
