Winterfest ’11. Strong port aroma before the glass is even at my nose. More port in the flavor along with red wine, malt. There is a light sourness, and a dry, grape skin finish.

Growler shared by Alan at Paul’s tasting. Pours black. Tan head. Nose and taste of fresh coconut, toasted coconut, chocolate, roasted malts and roasted vanilla bean. The toasted coconut is simply awesome and must be consumed to be believed.

A golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, light spiced malts, like an herbaceous Denis Nectar. In mouth, a sweetish malt with ginger, apples, a bit boring. Tasted Dec. 18 2010. Thanks Dany.

Draft at Town Hall. Filtered greenish yellow. Steady white head. Peppery hop aroma on top of a clean malt backbone. Reclaiming all the good parts of a Pils . Pretty big and bold, somewhere between a Bohemian Pils and an Imperial Pils. Not at all sticky or sugary. Impressive.

Draft at Town Hall. Filtered pale golden-yellow color. Almost a hint of green in it’s irridescence. Steady thin white head. Classic deep brewhouse tones, with a spicy, peppery hop edge. Malty doughy malt tones. Rich and yeasty, despite the filtering. Impressively true to style, above par all the way. Lots of banana wheat in the finish. Well rounded. Medium bodied, almost approaches full in it’s depth of character. Quite big for the style, great stuff.

Draft at Town Hall. Orange-tan color with a thin head. Fruity yeasty aroma, like a tweaked out English Bitter with some Belgian Candi tones. Rather huge sugary mouthfeel for a beer of 5.7%. Orange sweet malt tones, a pleasant underlying soapy bitterness. Fruity yeast finish. Bitter, but a little too sugary for me. Ok for what it is.

Draft at Town Hall. Stained glass brown-amber color. Thin oily head. Malty, caramel laced aroma. Mellow carbonation. Lots of subtle brown and caramel malt notes. Faint hopping gives it some character. Pretty nice. A subtle beast. Soft on the palate. Orange caramel finish.

Draft at Town Hall. Rich hoppy aroma. Nice hoppy taste followed by a solid sweet malt backbone. Filtered orange-brown, foamy head that laces the glass. Awesome display of hops while the body remains clean. Exceptional balance. World Class.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a cloudy pumpkin orange with no head whatsoever. Aroma was full of a sweet coconut note with some underlying sweet mango and only a hint of citrus hops. Flavor was full of strong, sweet coconut and a decent amount of mango that covers up the citrus hop note. A bit too sweet for my liking.
