750ml bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a very very light yellow, almost white color with no head but lots of little bubbles. I would almost say it looks like sprite. Aroma is a little sour, like fresh squeezed green apples with a little dash of brown sugar. Taste is medium sour, like biting into a granny smith apple. Light bodied with a thin and somewhat sticky texture. No carbonation but a long sour finish. Overall, not bad. Loses a couple points for being $11 per 750ml bottle and not a whole lot better than other stuff out there.

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours an odd-yellow green color with a thin ring of white head. Aroma of fresh-squeezed plastic pears (i.e. artificial). Taste is medium sweet. Fake pear flavoring and something somewhat burning. Light bodied with a thin yet sticky texture. Fizzy carbonation. A short finish, but even then it’s way too long. Overall, crap. I’m going to give this to the lady. If she doesn’t like it, it’s going down the drain.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a white wine glass. Pours clear pale yellow with very small white head that dissapates quickly. Very little lacing, low carbonation, and medium/light body. Taste is apple and a hint of alcohol. Average cider.

33cl bottle. Pours a very pale lemon colour with very gentle bubbles and no head. The nose has very ripe apples, almost into pear in fact, but it’s fairly closed and you have to look for it. The taste is actually like green eating apples, maybe a little riper than Granny Smith. The palate is medium structure, there’s quite a thick tangy middle section and a dry refreshing finish. After a disappointing appearance and nose, it was uphill thereafter.

On tap at Pony Bar. Poured a clear gold with a slight green tint, visible carbonation and no head whatsoever. Aroma had notes of dry and sweet pear with a bit of a sugary syrup note. A bit syrupy with sweet pear and a hint of dry pear underlying. A bit sweet for my liking.

A 12oz bottle from Pick’s Liquors poured into a shaker. No head, but the liquid is a faint yellow, almost clear. Very bubbly. The aroma is good, like fresh cut granny smith apples. Taste is lightly sweet and medium sour. It’s light bodied with a thin texture, fizzy carbonation and a average length sour finish. Overall, it’s a pretty good cider. Usually something like this would give me gut rot but I have a feeling I could drink a 6-pack and still be ok. It would also be perfect for sitting outside on a hot summer day. I’ll be buying this one again!
