Aroma of malt, caramel, roasty notes, some chocolate, some coffee. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish. A bit thinnish, could use more body. Decent and pleasant if unremarkable Stout.

Bottle at home. Aroma of dark malt, liquorice, herbal notes, syrup, candy sugar, hint of dark fruits. Flavour is sweet. A bit sticky. Not a bad ’winter ale’ at all, nicely balanced.

Bottle from Kisjes Slijterijen, Meppel. Aroma is grainy malt, mild hoppy, floral and some yeasty notes, dank cellar, and a touch of dimethyl sulfate, which is not so nice. Flavour is lightly sweet and moderate to medium bitter with a mild dry finish. Fairly decent body considering the abv. I’m a bit torn on this one...Not nearly fruity enough for it to be a decent IPA, yet some nice sulphury Keller-ish notes. Flawed, but kinda interesting.

Bottle from Kisjes Slijterijen, Meppel. Aroma is sweetish pale malt, mild floral hoppy notes, ripe fruits, with some yeasty notes. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Not a bad ’heavy Blond’, has a surprising bitterness from the hops.

Bottle at Dégust, Hoogeveen. Aroma is strong oak and peated scotch whiskey with barley malt, light dried fruits, and some idodine. Flavour is above medium sweeet and moderate bitter. Body is medium. A bit too rough with too heavy whiskey character, lacks refinement, too sharp.

Bottle at Dégust, Hoogeveen. Aroma is peated with lots of wood, whiskey, strong barrel character, barley malt, some booze and a little sharp iodine. Flavour is sweet and moderate bitter. Body is medium. Very heavy on the whiskey, decent.

Tap at Midzomer BBQ en Bierfestival, Hillegom: Hazy yellow colored brew with an slightly sweet bitter taste and faint hints of banana. More body with this one and you got great Weizen.
