0.33 l can from 'Mr. Hop', canned in August 2024. Hazy, deep ruby with a medium large, foamy, quickly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite smoky, gently fruity aroma of caramel, molasses, raisins, bourbon, smoked ham and plum. Fairly sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite fruity, gently smoky taste of molasses, caramel, bourbon, raisins, plum, smoked ham, some vanilla and hints of chocolate, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly boozy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effercescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very tasty beer, not overly smoky (unfortunately), but quite heavy on the barrel, great malty and thick base beer as well.

Can. Slight hazy golden with huge fizzy white head. Hard to pour. Dry oats and wheat, soft citrus, green melon, light sourdough, watery. Light sweet, bitter and sour. Light bodied. Not great.

Tap at Brewdog Witte, Rotterdam. Hazy orange colour and small white head. Riped papaya, mango aroma. Medium-bodied. Flavour is similar: citrus front, mango, pineapple and papaya. Light spiceyness.

Keg at 'If It Ain't Dutch', Enid Street, 27/11/24. Moderately hazed golden orange topped with a lasting off white head, some lacing ensues. Nose is mellow citric zest, grass, orange peel, melon. Taste comprises orange pith, grapefruit, papaya, melon, citric tinged straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow hop bitterness. Passable IPA ... rather restrained and carrying a light soapy note.

Keg at 'If It Ain't Dutch', Enid Street, 27/11/24. Black topped with a lasting tan head. Nose is chocolate shavings, roast malts, charr, ashen nip, dried fruit rinds. Taste comprises roast malts, ashen bite, charr, light smoke, coffee bean, toffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a spike of alcohol. Okay sipper if a little harsh in places and lacking depth for the ABV.
