Bottle. Dark gold colour. Thick lasting head. Oily, light hop aroma. Grassy, fruity taste. More flavour than expected from the style.

50cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours golden to amber with a slight haze. The nose is dominated by banana, with a slight hint of vanilla too. The taste is a slightly less intense version of the nose - still vanilla and banana but a very light whiff. The palate is medium bodied with a tangy and well carbonated textured and a fairly clean finish. Overall, a solid to good hefe.

50cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours a light golden with a slight amount of haze and a generous head. The nose is a little weak and insipid - I get a faint creaminess but nothing that I’d associate with weizen. The taste has a little bit more but it really amounts to a very light hint of vanilla custard and there’s no spice at all. The palate is light bodied with a light but fairly creamy texture and the finish isn’t too bad. Overall, not great, I’m afraid.

50cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours golden with a decent head. The nose has sweetcorn and pale malt. The taste has vegetables, maybe green beans but could be sweetcorn again. There isn’t really a zestiness going on. The palate is close to medium bodied with a fairly creamy texture and a fairly clean finish. Overall, solid but not particularly good for German lager.

33cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours gllde with a slim head that quickly disappears. The nose has oatmeal, with a hint of lemon and herbs but not much really. The taste is zingy/herby/lemony. The palate is light to medium with a nice clean finish. Overall, a fairly reliable German pils but not exceptional.

50 cl bottle @ Timo A. Rated on 14.06.2011
Aroma is slightly sweet with banana esthers, yeasty notes and caramel. Flavour is somewhat sweet with caramel, banana esthers, bubblegum, some wheat and yeasty notes. Also some off‐flavour I find hard to get grip on. Decent.

Aroma is rather nice with coffee, some chocolate and roasted malt. Flavour has semi‐dark chocolate, roasted malt and some licorice. Nice, dryish and leathery finish with coffee notes. Very good dunkel, I like the coffee notes here.
