Something light and easy, to give Eggens another chance. And you know what? This is a damn good weizen! Soft, wheaty, some light sweetness and plenty of banana. Little bit of clove spicyness to keep it balanced, and beer most of all. Very well done!

Definitely nicer than the Woodford. Still thin, but more balanced and some more spice to the bourbon, which works well with the base. If it wouldn't be so damn thin it'd be pretty nice! Keep working on it, definitely something here.

Barrel ageing quads is a bit trickier than your average heavy stout, requires more nuance. For me, this particular one hasn't worked too well. The bourbon is there, and there are some Belgiany flavours, but mostly one thin boozy bourbon bomb. Not for me.

0,33 l bottle from Wijnalda, Haren. A darkest red brown in the glass, nearly black. Smallest head. Intensive fruity, cherry, plums, some whisky on the nose. Smooth. Taste starts with malt and choco, low whisky, again very smooth. Fruity alcoholic but not burning, sweet, silky at the palate. Little bit boozy in the aftertaste. Grrrreat stuff!

Bottle at THT March. Hazy mahogany with huge fluffy beige head. Dry wood, butter, herbal, cognac, alcohol, raisins. Medium sweet, quite bitter. Medium bodied.
