Description

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Fruity Cachaça with alcohol, oak, spicy notes, vanilla from the barrel, sugary fruit. Medium sweet with a somewhat boozy finish. Quite nice provided you dig Cachaça because it's heavy on the barrel.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg.
Dark brown to black with an off-white head. Dark caramel and chocolate aroma, more akin to a stout than a barley wine. Sweet taste with a long boozy finish. Interesting barley wine where the sweetness is replaced by roast. Nice one.

33cl bottle from Valkenburg, can't remember the actual store I bought it from though (it was last year). Poured into my Gordon thistle shaped glass at home on 17th February 2026, Dark and moody looking beer, wispy beige top. Boozy Bourbon nose and taste, soft body feel, liked it.
