Bottle. Color: Black, thin brown head. Aroma: Sweetish, overwhelming Speyside Whisky, some almond. Taste: Sweetish, boozy, Speysie Whisky, some almond, roasted malt in the background. Whisky is very much overwhelming. Some oak wood, hints of vanilla. Longer barrel ageing isn't always better... I'm still not a big fan of the Eggens barrel aged series. Over moderate sweet, moderate bitterness.

330ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty and chocolately, minnimalyl spicy, dark malty aroma, hints of coffee, cocoa, dark chocolate, a touch of coffee surrogate. Taste is roasty, slightly chocolatelyminimally nutty and minimally spicy, dark malty, mildly bitter hoppy, hints of coffee, coffee surrogate, a touch of toasted nuts.
Oily texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, slightly scattered, soft carbonation.
Quite roasty and spicy - nice.

Bottle at home shared with Laura. Opaque dark brown to black color, small tan head. Aroma and flavor are malts, wood, cognac notes, liquor. Hmm quite nice, but hard to describe. Solid beer though. I like this one. Quite pleasant.

Bottle at home shared with Laura. Opaque black color, tan head. Aroma is odd: band aid, some roast, malts, dark malts, iodine. Flavor is malts, some roast, coffee, peat, ash, boozy, wood, liquor and more peaty notes in the finish. Wow, that's heavy stuff.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Fruity Cachaça with alcohol, oak, spicy notes, vanilla from the barrel, sugary fruit. Medium sweet with a somewhat boozy finish. Quite nice provided you dig Cachaça because it's heavy on the barrel.
