Touch of haze, vibrant amber. Cereal, big toasty, quite sweet, low grade whiskey, has muscle but no dexterity.

Light amber. Lots of diacetyl on the nose. Little bit of bitterness, toasty malts, diacetyl. I know the beer is still drinkable, but the butter is a bit much.

On tap at Yaletown, pours a clear copper golden with a small beige head. Aroma brings out oak barrels, a little bourbon, and toasted caramel. Flavour brings out a pretty cheap bourbon, I guess JD, with toasted caramel and some vanilla. You can't hope to create anything worthwhile with JD barrels, and this is no exception. Weak stuff.

On tap at Yaletown, pours a clear pale copper yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank, herbal hops, some butter and toasted malt. Flavour brings out piney hops, sweet cereal malt and some herbal, grassy notes. Sweet cereal malt on the finish with a pretty lame herbal hoppy finish.

On cask at Yaletown, pours a clear dark amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted caramel, some bread, and some light butter. Flavour is quite bitter, with toasted malt, a touch of toast and abrasive hoppy bitterness. Quite harsh and haphazardly blended. Pointless dink cask.

On tap at Yaletown, pours a red-tinged dark brown with a medium creamy tan head. Aroma brings out lots of oats upfront, followed by toasted malt and a little dry cocoa. Flavour is nicely constructed, with notes of dry cocoa, oats and a little espresso. Light-to-medium bodied palate but nicely flavoured.

On tap at Yaletown, pours a hazy reddish amber with a small white head. Aroma is quite fruity, with toasted bready malt and some dry caramel. Flavour is very fruity for a cream ale, with some red fruits and toasted bready malt. Pretty ordinary stuff, but clean enough. Meh.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy amber color, creamy head. Nice fruity, orangey hops in the aroma. The mouthfeel is dry, rather weak, some caramel flavor, with no depth and no direction, lightly earthy, followed by moderate hop quality, a bit resiny, a touch of bitter oranges.
Hopped session Amber Ale, does it have a market?

Cask at the brewpub
Red color, hazy, with no head. It has a light aroma of generic berries, mild berry flavor, no tartness, no carbonation, no bitterness, mild tannins in the final, and just a touch of ginger.
Why would you brew such an useless beer?

Blond color, just hazy. The beer is quite timid, but in the recent tradition of Yaletown beers, German style are treated fairly, and this beer has mild crisp malts and mild grassy hops, a bit herbaceous too in the final; notably the mouthfeel is quite dry.br>Pleasant.
