Blackish brown body and a bit of foam, sweet dark bread on the nose. Flavoyr is good licorice and baker's chocolate with a sharp finish. Very nice, a cut above their usual brews.

On tap at the brewery. The aroma is soft vanilla and barley. Has okay foam with a dark brown black body. Flavour is middling vanilla with hints of sweet coffee. Mouthfeel is full enough but a bit of a cough medicine vibe to the aftertaste. It's middling and weak, not too interesting.

On tap at the brewery. The aroma is soft burnt beans with a hint of barley. Has an okay brown nearly black body with modest foam. Flavour is good barley with hints of coffee but nothing else - maybe some dry chocolate sweetness. Mouthfeel has good fullness, slightly dry finish. It's an okay big baltic porter, the abv is well hidden.

Aroma is soft lager with vague hints of malt. Has a weak dark gold body and minimal head. Flavour is weak graininess with no hints of anything else. Mouthfeel is full enough, but no crispness. This is weak and boring but drinkable... classic Yaletown brew.

On tap at the brewpub. The aroma is reasonable sweet hops, has a modest gold minimal head. Flavour is musty hops, a bit vegetably, some odd sweet grain hints. Mouthfeel is dry and full enough. It's drinkable but uninteresting.

Aroma is all sugar and molasses. Has okay foam and a very black brown body. Flavour is sweet roasted barley but nothing else. Mouthfeel is soft leaning towards watery. A very mediocre stout.

Aroma is soft armpit, has an okay white foam and clear copper body. Flavour is weak malts and nothing else. Mouthfeel is leaning toward watery. This is incredibly boring, more akin to homebrew, Yaletown should know better.

Aroma is soft fruit but little else. Has a cloudy yellow orange body and almost no foam. Flavour is mellow peach juice. Mouthfeel is a bit crisp thanks to some lively carbonation. This whole thing is rather boring.

On tap at the brewpub. Has modest yellow liquid and minimal foam on top. Aroma is mediocre grains. Flavour is soft grains, mouthfeel is medium and a little bit sweet. This thing is decidedly average, something that Yaletown Brewing does extraordinarily well.
