Bottle from Cave a Bulles. It’s a foamer. Pour is gold with a huge creamy off-white head. Aroma is fruit with a zest aspect (this through a lot of foam). Med body. Cause of the heavy, foamy carbonation, likely Flavor is zest, citrus. Pretty hoppy for a wit! Maybe getting earthy in the finish, and it’s well towards dry.

Bottle from Cave a Bulles. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate with a touch of anise? Med body at least. Tastes chocolate, hoppy, anise, smooth dark malt. Slight burn - probably alcohol. Some treacle sneaks in around the edges. Quite nice.

Bottled shared (Thank you Davido!). Dried apricot and fig with some spice, oak and marmalade with a dash of floral honey-like notes. Part of a 10 euro, 6 beer blind tasting set at Trois 8’s biergarten event in Paris. As I’d gotten a bottle the night before and been told about this weird beer I was able to guess right away this was the beer from France. It poured an opaque honey gold with a pickle juice aroma. It’s got a soft round carbonation with a prickly finish. The taste is pickle: tangy, acidic a bit ashey. Bizarre but cool. I then shared my bottle with Shoulderbroken + Kyotolefty when I ran into them at Euston Tap.

At a tasting, thnks, stable long lasting light brown creamy frothy head with some lacing, dark brown color, aroma of nuts, grains and some coffee, flavor of coffee, dark bread, some chocolate and a herbal and shruby note in the back, chocoalte becomes stronger as the beer warms up. Very nice and quite enjoyable.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks Ariel. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of piney hops, roast, some licorice, coffee. Bittersweetish roasty flavor with coffee, piney and citric hops, and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Bottle from Phil. Glowing orange-gold. Huge airy heed. Dill pickle nose, salty cucumber. Big pickle/cucumber nose, seeds, salt, veggie juice. Orange, peach, light biscuit malt. Medium body, rather strong bitterness.

Black color with a light beige head, very creamy with nice lacework. Aroma has notes of roasted malts, coffee beans and black chocolate. Flavor is slightly bittery with a great predominance of roasted malts, licorice, coffee and chocolate, some ashes as well. Slightly bitterness in the final with a creamy mouthfeel and roasted notes.
