Golden with a small white head. Strong pear and apple aroma, with a bit of funk, vinegar and wood. Extremely sweet apple flavour with strong alcohol, and a slightly tart note. Has a complexity and vineous alcohol, but the sweetness is a bit too overwhelming.

Bottle shared by someone at Paul and Ryan’s 5000th celebrations, thanks! Poured a clear gold with a white head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma was full of apples, mainly sweet some tart, with a bit of backing alcohol. Flavor was quite sweet with apples throughout with a bit of alcohol coming out in the finish.

Snatched this bottle from yobdoog as he was pulling out of the BCTC parking lot. :P Baby Duvel tulip. Pours a deep staining yellow/orange color, similar to annatto oil(or maybe watered down iodine if that paints a better picture). Smell is a mix of sugar glaze & wet/musty leaves, with an inviting tart/rindy bitter note that I believed was a hint at the taste(but ended up not being so). Thick, rich & lush. Honey & comice pears, more so then honey crisps. Vanilla? Bit of butter & gamey-ness included. Must be that unique Jersey terrior. :P Acidity is mostly absent in this cider. The body is unusually heavy & filled to the brim with caramelized sugars. Too sticky when warm. There was a sense of lacquer I got on every other drawn out sip. (I’m just trying to find excuses to downplay it at this point, sorry). It was a nice, surprisingly affordable experience. Thank you Trev. :P

Bottle at Craig’s, Edinburgh tasting, big thanks to Craig for this Ice Cider. Shared in company of Craig, Stella, Jan, Charlotte, Fritz and Loz 30.10.10 This poured mid yellow with good clarity. It’s sticky yet fresh apples showing. There is an almost syrup like consistency, lovely apple tart, sweet and silkly gorgeous, and yet amazingly tart at times. There is a nice thickness in mouth, lovely stuff. A8 A4 T9 P4 Ov17 4.2

Bottle thanks to JB175. Pours with a clear pale golden color, not as dark of a hue as the Forbidden. Not too many legs. Aroma is very nice, bursting with sweet apple, slight must and cobwebs, cinnamon sugar, tartness and tannins. Flavor is excellent with fresh, green apple, and a great balance of sweetness and acidity/tartness. Good light citrus notes with some high octane alcohol twang. Still extremely drinkable at 11.5%. Still, with wine like carbonation. Better than their blueberry wine, but not as good as Forbidden.
