Ugly flat light brown. Looks like Zhigulyovskoye. Tart, only a dash of salt, vinous. All the advertised traits are there, it’s woody, but not coming together. Needs refinement.

Bottle - Dark fruit, smoke and light cocoa. Jet black with a creamy brown head. Big start, liquorice, booze and roast malts. Really big beer, worthy of the Imperial.

Draft. Pours blonde with a nutty aroma. Very light, with little flavor. Corn flavor, with little hops. Didn’t really know what to expect with this one. It was okay.

Amber, lasting beige head.Intense bead.Bland vaguely sweet fore & mid, medium hop bitterness in finish. 1 dimensional, lacking in malt. One of my least favorite breweries ruining my favorite style. Thought I give the brewery another shot, but nothing has improved.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy blonde with a small creamy white head. Nose reveals notes of citrusy hops, some earthy notes, and a touch of caramel. Flavour brings out stone fruits, a sharp bitter resinous hop profile, and some caramel. Sweeter than I expected from the colour and nose. A bit cloying on the finish, which detracts some points for me. Decent, but too sweet for an IPA for me.

Golden color with creamy head. Hoppy aroma, fruity, with citrus fruits and some chamomile. Off-dry, with some malt and toffee flavor; good hopping, quite citrusy, but there is some chicory bitterness in the final.

Draught at the brewpub
Amber color with creamy head. Light malt aroma. Good body strength, quite sweet; sweet caramel flavor, with some strong fruity esters, and some sweet nuts in the final. A bit biscuity too.
Given the sweetness and esters, this could be a Maibock.

Draught at the brewpub
Dark mahogany color, hazy, with small creamy head. Strong fruity aroma, banana and some tropical fruit, litchi. Dry mouthfeel, with delicate roasted malt, and evident fruity touch (banana and strawberry).
Interesting one. I would like to try it a bit sweeter.
