Hazy golden color. The aroma is too light. Good body strength, delicate malt flavor, no wheat, but with soft pleasant fruity esters; light residual sweetness. Pleasant although simple.

Blond color with creamy head. The aroma is a bit grassy. Dry mouthfeel; good malt presence, with a hay accent; strong bitterness. Not as weak as expected actually.

Bottle from Legacy Liquor, Vancouver
Black color with generous brown compact head. The aroma is very interesting, tobacco, cigar, some ashes, bread. Good body strength, yet with a lean mouthfeel; the flavor is a bit chocolatey, but unfortunately is too much roasty and ashy, burnt coffee too; the bitterness level is high, and the final slightly salty.
A robust, roasty Imperial Stout.

Hazy light straw-tan with a thick creamy head. Aroma is very grapefruity, orangey, with maybe some phenols. Stacks of hop...intense bitterness...grapefruit, touch yeasty and marginal malt. Different...really intense.

On tap at Copper Hog, pours a hazy orange with a tiny head. Aroma brings out white wine notes, a little salt, and dry pils notes. Flavour is very round and complex, with salt, white wine and some light fruits. The barrels accentuate the base beer very well. The salt is subdued, but still noticeable. Very solid stuff.

650 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of vanilla, creamy chocolate, and roasted malts. Flavors of cafe au lait, cocoa powder, dark brownies and roasted malts. Dry and slightly bitter. Warm finish. Very nice.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy amber color with nice creamy head, persistent and sticky. The aroma is a bit dusty. Caramel flavor, quite dry, and with a hint of burnt sugar; quite strong bitterness, a bit too ashy in the final.
Reasonably an ESB, not impressive though.

650 ml bottle. Pours an amber color with light head. Aromas of grass, citrus, and toast. Flavors of lemongrass, pine, and toasted malts over-ridden by a very strong bitter finish. Seems to be very different from the other ratings...

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark copper with light head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of candied oranges, rubber, and other tropical fruit. Flavors of bitter orange peel, brown sugar candy, toasted malts and resin. Long bitter finish.

Bottle - Sweet fruity hops with a great malty caramel backbone. Clear gold with a rich off white head. Very sweet, but bitterness balances well. Like candy and hops, very nice.
