Draught at the brauhaus
The color is dark mahogany/chestnut; compact and persistent head. Light aroma of caramel and roasted malt. It’s a bit too much carbonated; it has a good flavor of roasted malt, but the roastiness is too strong in the end; also caramel flavor, and dark chocolate; just mildly sweet as well, but with a solid body; correct bitterness, most of it from the roasted malt; as said, the final is a bit too dry and ashy. Maybe sweeter than your usual Schwarz, but very good.

Draught at the brauhaus
Cloudy golden color. It has an unpleasant cheese aroma, initially, then light, regular malt aroma and very light cereals. The body as expected is more structured than a regular beer, and rounder, with some residual sweetness; quite good malt flavor; indeed the bitterness is quite high, maybe not to-style, but appreciated; it has also a very light fruity impression. A bit rough but enjoyable.

Draught at the bräuhaus
Cloudy orange-golden color; compact head, persistent. There is a delicate but nice hop aroma, maybe Hallertau. The mouthfeel is quite dry, with quite good malt flavor (dry and a bit biscuity), and a better hopping (still, the aromatic qualities are not overbearing but at least present). Correct bitterness in the final, with enough malt and hop to please the palate. Good.

Draught at the bräuhaus
Beautiful mahogany color with red shades; creamy head. Nice aroma, nutty caramel and a touch of fudge. Good caramel flavor, light roasted nuts, a bit sweet; also a light buttery note; it’s clear by now that there is a good amount of diacetyl here. The bitterness is quite low. As I’m not put off by diacetyl, while I prefer sweet beers, I appreciate this one.

Generically sold as Spezial, that is: season beer.
Cloudy orange-golden color; generous head. It has a nice, sweetish and fruity aroma, with a touch of spices. The flavor too is quite sweet, with a good mix of wheat, spices, banana. The bitterness is almost absent and the final is short. Pleasant.
