Bottle at a bar/hotel in Montevideo. Boring name, boring label for a boring beer. Grassy bland gold lager with a fizzy head, too sweet.

Bottle in Colonia, Uruguay in 2005. I remember finding it funny the beer had a woman’s name. Clear deep gold, thick fizzy white head that dissipated fast with grassy flavors & a minimal hop presence. A typical macro lager.

Overly sweet (too much corn?) Both aroma and taste are candy sweet, , not much else about his is memorable, not even refreshing, something that warm weather brew usually have going for them. Skip this one (unless you’re in Montevideo)

Canned 354ml. -Clear yellow coloured, small white head, just few tiny bubbles of carbonation, some cheap grain in the nose. Sweetish watery grainy and slight cardboard taste with discreet touch of malt in the finish. Like I’ve expected.

Bottled, from BeerBox, Condesa, Mexico City. Cloudy pale yellow, rich head. Fruity soapy coriander aroma. Sweet with light body and sticky mouthfeel. Overripe fruit, syrup and coriander dominates, some lemon, Sticky finish. Artificial and unpleasant with miniscule drinkability.

Bottled at Frankfurt, Polanco, Mexico City. Clear dark brown, small head. Fruity nose with plenty of coffee. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Coffee and molasses, slight roasty bitterness. Not bad for a national macro. Wish this had been around when I visited Uruguay.
