Medium beige head. Clear deep red translucent body with strong carbonation. Earthy fruity aroma with syrupy dusty notes. Dryish mealy roasty taste with vaguely fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry dusty fruity aftertaste with wooden roasty syrupy notes. Quite nice, but not great. (0.5l draft at Manala, Helsinki.)

(Draught at Villi Wäinö as Karhupanimo Münchener, 20120321) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, molasses and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, grass, mildly molasses and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, grassy and bitter. Nice, good malty body but also dull.

(Draught at St. Urho’s Pub’s Portteripäivät 2012, 20120215) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized, sparse and lightly brown. Aroma had liquorice, roasted malts and something bit unpleasant. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, hops, liquorice, acridness and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. This beer had lots I liked but something there was such that I found it displeasing.

Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, roasted malts, coffee, sweetness and bitteness. Aftertaste was burnt, roasty and bitter. A tasty stout.

Rather hoppy aroma with some roasted malt, also hints of toffee. Flavour is roasty with peat. Slightly thin palate. Could not locate the ’dry’ here, but this isn’t sweet either. Decent.

Dark brown, almost opaque color, good creamy coffee head, some lace. Light toasted aroma with acidic coffee hints. Light to medium bodied with soft palate. Toasted, dry flavor with light acidic note, Finish with espresso bitterness. Balanced and very style-like dry stout. Not maybe the most interesting brew but well done.

Pours light orange with a foamy head. Fruity aroma of malts and exotic hops. Taste is quite refreshing with a lot of citrusy, fruity hops and malts. Smooth, slightly bitter finish. Medium bodied, easy to drink. Quite well balanced and nice fruity pale ale.

(Draught at Hilpeä Hauki, 20110924) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had citricness, fruitiness, exotic fruits and mildly malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, pine, exotic fruits, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, fruity and bitter. Nice hoppy beer with good hop bite and balance.

Draught@Black Door, Helsinki. Nice goldeny orange colour with a small creamy off-white head that leaves a firm lace. Aroma is fruity and floral with some slight nectary notes. Flavour is nectar, mild honey, some fruity and floral hops as well as some sweet malts. Ends in a rather pleasant grassy bitterness. Very pleasant!
