Aroma is sweet with somewhat artifical chocolate essences, milk chocolate, some lactic acid and berries. Flavour has chocolate essences, milk chocolate, some coffee, fruity notes and berries. Sweetish, fruity finish. The typical contaminated feeling for Koulu beers is present also in this one – but it makes actually a nice twist.
Looking at those older ratings I get a feeling that the recipe of this might have been completely different then. At least the appearance does not match. The ABV matches, however.

Aroma is completely nothing, perhaps hints of hay. Sourish berries, gooseberry bush and honey occurs during drinking. Flavour has malt, fruity notes, honey, sweet malts, hints of apricot, grain and hay. Also some grassy hops in the background. Sticky finish. The least contaminated beer Koulu had to offer today – but I can still feel those aromas here too. Heller bock is not my favourite style but this was ok.

Aroma is sourish with roastiness, hay and hints of berries. Flavour has chocolate, roasted notes, cocoa, berries, lactic acid, hay and a slight contaminated feeling typical to Koulu beers. Nutty finish. A dunkel with sour twist.

Aroma is very light with hay, fruits and grainy malt. Slightly contaminated feeling here. Flavour has hay, grainy malt and slight fruitiness. Also grassy hops, gooseberry bush and a slight feeling of contamination – which seems to be the house flavour of Koulu. Feels more like a kellerbier than pale lager. The best beer of Koulu so far in its style.

Aroma is sourish with gooseberry bush, butter and berries. Also some grainy malt, honey and hints of corn in the background. Feels a contaminated. Flavour is somewhat sour with grainy malt, hints of honey, gooseberry bush, stinging herbal notes and grassy hops. A slight contaminated feeling here also, the sourness still kind of fits here and does not completely ruin the show. Lacks the bulky feeling basic Aura has.

Aroma is floury with some wheat, bubblegum and citrus notes. Flavour is somewhat floury with wheat, yeast, bubblegum and hints of banana esthers. The good thing here is the lack of oversweet banana – the bad thing is the stale floury notes.

Hand bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Clear pale yellow. Fruity nose with some hay and boiled vegetables. Sweet with clean mouthfeel and light-medium body. Fruity with more honey than hops, some resiny bitterness.
