Tap @ Turun Panimofestivaali 2017. Smell of plastic, some hops. Hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of hops, soap, plastic, malts. Some paper in finish. Very imbalanced stuff. Bitter. Lively carbon. Big disappointment.

(Keg at Koulu, 20170506) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness, grass and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A nice crisp brew which could have been less sweet.

Tap at brewpub. Dark copper color, good off-white head. Aroma has sticky toasted, overriped banana. Light-bodied, active carbonation. Flavour has toasted notes, riped banana. Not so sweet as aroma. Watery finish. Unbalanced.

Tap at brewpub. Amber slightly hazy color, medium-sized beige head. Sweetish, bready, worty aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Flavour is quite similar to aroma: sweetish malty, worty then light spicey finish. Maybe this was better in the past.

Draught @ the brewpub as "Koulu Oktober." Aroma is mild with just some sweet malt. Flavour has grainy malt, toffee, minerals and some mint in the finish. A solid and clean märzen that is easy to drink. Two koulu beers today and no signs of contamination, what is this?

Draught @ the brewpub. Aroma has sweet toffee and caramel malt. Flavour has sweet caramel, toffee, malt and mild mineral notes. Koulu house flavour is evident but no signs of contamination than in their beers usually. Clean and sweet.

Draught @ SOPP 2016. Pours yellowish orange with a smooth head. Aroma of grainy malts, grass and citrus. Taste is crisp, citrusy and grassy with some hay and grainy malts. Finish is grainy, grassy and earthy with some hay and citrus.
