(bottle, 33cl) Clear, dark amber colour with a ruby shine and a big but diminishing tanned foamy head. Moderately roasty malty aroma with notes of caramel, molasses and a subtle fruity touch. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Present roasty malt character with caramel, liquorice and dark chocolate; burnt caramel towards the sweet-bitter and slightly alcoholic finish. Not perfectly balanced but still likeable. 04.IX.15

Bottle:Golden, clear, rapidly collapsing loose white head; bready-malty nose with a tannic touch; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, malty base barely detectable, light bodied; slightly lingering, more malty than hoppy, finish. Where are the - on the label - promised noble hops? Just anothe brew from a quite spare new "Brauprojekt"…

0,33 l bottlebought at Grebhan´s, Bremen. Pours out in a clear dark red brown. Nearly two finger light tanned head. Not a lot on the nose, more coffie than malt. Taste starts more malty, little bit hop, low sweetness. Later increasing roasted malt. Can not really convince me.

0,33 l bottle bought at Grebhan´s, Bremen. Unclear pale orange in the glass. Smaller head. Hop and flower sweetness on the nose. Starts malty with a present hop bitterness and honey sweetness. Herbal notes in the second row. Mid bitter aftertaste. Okay.

(Draught at Kaschk, Berlin, 17 July 2015) Dark reddish brown colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dried fruit, raisins, coffee and chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with dried fruit, raisins, brown sugar, coffee, dark bread and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite a fruity porter, but tasty and well made. Nice one.
