Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours copper with a small creamy beige head. Aroma is citrus with roasty malt. Near full bodied. Flavor starts with lots of citrus, even grapefruit, reveals some rather untasty malt, but then the hop picks up again with a burn. So this is really, really bitter. Pretty citrus. And the malt drops into the abyss. So, for a high ABV hit which is bitter, this should do the trick.

330ml bottle, brewed in the UK, at 4.5% ABV, from Bargain Booze, Holyport, Maidenhead. Amber with a tight cream head; honey aroma; soft and sweet with a definite honey taste - that’s not overpowering; and a pleasant, but short-lived, herbal bitterness. Not bad, but of dubious origin.

Bottle from Bargain Booze, Herne Bay. Clear dark amber colour lasting thin ivory head. Slightly hoppy grapefruit aroma. Funnily enough all three of the beers I’ve had from this brewery were very similar. I mean really similar. This is probably the best of the 3. Hoppy and drinkable.

Bottle from Bargain Booze, Herne Bay. Clear deep amber colour with a thickish ivory colour head. Some toffee on aroma. Not much honey. Some hop on the finish. It’s drinkable enough. It’s fine. Just a hint that it’s coming up to it’s BBE of March 2015. OK slightly hoppy golden ale.

12 oz bottle from World Market, Bakersfield. Nose is light pumpkin, nutmeg, and cloves. Clear amber orange with a medium beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet and spicy pumpkin pie. Not the best pumpkin ale I’ve had but no where near the worst!

Bomber from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours light copper with a slight whitish head. This stuff smells like orange soda. Med minus body. I guess there’s a zest component, but there’s sugar, and orange that seems artificial. That’s probably unfair, since the label claims "select parts of whole oranges" with "only natural ingredients". Must have been an excess of oranges down there. Course the label also claims this is a salute to Belgian fruit lambics - so they don’t seem to be dealing with a full deck. But if one sticks with it, it gets to a tolerable level. Finishes orange rind bitter.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was Tang. The flavor was Tangy. Medium length finish. Light body. Pretty awful.
