Ours is a little different. It began in the storm cellar of a home built in 1924 where a stainless steel kettle and a family's dedication formed the cornerstone of Mt. Carmel Brewing Company. Established in 2005, Mt. Carmel reestablished Cincinnati's brewing frontier. Today, our extended family of brewers and neighbors continues to push it forward. We invite you to become a part of the Mt. Carmel story.

Bottle: Clear, bubbled amber with a tall, off-white head. Caramel, a bit of herbal op aroma. Flavour is a light herbal bitter, almost a minty/evergreen note.....not piney....cooling and bright. Caramel malt. Pretty nice,,,,mild all around with a refreshing hoppy note. A nicely different amber.

Shaker pint draft at the Oakley location of Dewey's Pizza in Cincinnati, Ohio. The pour is clear golden ruby, with a smallish light tan head. The aroma is cracker malt, with a bit of earth peat moss. The taste is the softly sweet cracker malt, earthy peat, and a nice soft roast and mineral. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and the mineral peatish finish. The bartender described this as an Irish Scotch ale sort of thing which was a perfect description. Nice one.

Sample at MadTree 2.0 for Cincinnati Beer Week on 06/23/2017. Clear pale yellow-gold color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus, spice and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of tart lemon-lime, ginger, yeast and malt. The finish is mildly tart with a lemony aftertaste. Decent overall.
