Description
Every Farmhouse has a story.

Ours is a little different. It began in the storm cellar of a home built in 1924 where a stainless steel kettle and a family's dedication formed the cornerstone of Mt. Carmel Brewing Company. Established in 2005, Mt. Carmel reestablished Cincinnati's brewing frontier. Today, our extended family of brewers and neighbors continues to push it forward. We invite you to become a part of the Mt. Carmel story.

12oz bottle scooped up at Dutch’s in Cincinnati. Unfiltered orange-tan body with a steady off-white head. Cool, crisp aroma. Classic US IPA, maybe leaning towards the East with its chewy malt tones. Hops are ever-present, but never really dominating. Overall this is better than most IPAs out there, I’d gladly scoop up a sixpack of it.

Pours deep, almost clear copper/chestnut with a thick, light tan head. Light nutmeg, cinnamon, red cedar aroma. Taste is caramel malt, holiday spices.....ginger. ....it’s OK, but has a chalky, medicinal feel to it. Sort of a dusty bitter. So-so.

12oz bottle. Opaque black body. Steady, thick beige head. Roasty chocolate aroma. Kind of bitter and sharp, in a cocoa way. Big creamy chocolate tones. This is a solid Stout, Thick specialty malts. Certainly a good beer, exceeded my moderate expectations.

12oz bottle. This is really what I like to see in a seasonal beer; someone breaking the mold but still remaining sensible and true to the spirit. Bigger and bolder than the bottle would suggest. Big, rich, malt tones with a pleasant, earthy, fruity, hop balance. Big, full bodied beer for the style, with a nice
