Description
In 2014, Sam Richardson, Matt Monahan and Andrew Burman founded Other Half Brewing Company, a local brewery in New York City with a simple mission: to create beers that they wanted to drink from a company that they wanted to be a part of. Their vision was to build a passionate team that brewed great beers in the state of New York—done so with effort and thoughtfulness—to represent the “Other Half” of the industry. Today, Other Half craft beers in their Brooklyn brewery and are dedicated to collaborating with breweries both in New York as well as across the world in an effort to constantly move the industry forward while elevating the craft. The Other Half team believes that local breweries play an important role in their communities which is why they partner with these other likeminded brewers and brands in local nabes across the country and the world—but always return to their home state of New York and their Brooklyn taproom.
PLEASE NOTE: As of 2023, Other Half no longer markets beers as "Double Dry Hopped". Instead, the DDH version is now listed as just the beer name, and the non-DDH version has been retired.

Can@RBESG2015, Day 3, Copenhagen - golden coloured pour with white head. Aroma and taste is a plethora of tropical and citrus fruits, hoppy and malty, some caramel, orange, grapefruit and peach, pine needles, hoppy bitter finish. Wonderful.

That’s right it’s a two beer lunch it is my birthday after all. Dull brownish yellow orange pour white soapy head. Nose is very faint tropical fruit. Tastes of mango, hay, melon, farmhouse, some dried herbs. Crisp and spicy palate.

Bottle poured and shared at a tasting. Huge thanks to Maxxdaddy for sharing this. Rating from notes. Pours black with a patchy tan head. Huge dark fruit, light chocolate aroma. A little on the chalky side, caramel malt, wine barrel hints. Very nice, unique touch to the imperial stout style. Awesome stuff.

19.08.2015, tap @ Garage Beer:
Small slightly fizzy-creamy shortlasting head. Aroma is strange and perfumed, weeds, yeast, perfume, baby lotion, bark, grass, soap. Taste is harsh and perfumed, weeds, baby lotion, bark, grass, yeast, soap. Longlasting bitterness, harsh soapy mouthfeel. Drainpour!

Can from 07/13; a bit of age on her, but not too bad. Pours quite hazy orange with a medium creamy off-white head that laces pretty well. Aroma is light overall, grassy with a bit of melon, onion and perhaps stonefruit. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, pine, melon, hints of grass and buttery peach, pine resin. Medium body.

Draught @ Astoria Bier & Cheese. Cloudy bright yellow with medium sized foamy white head, floral hops aroma, low carbonation, smooth piney hops taste with surprisingly smooth palate, medium hoppy finish. Another great IPA from Other Half, these guys certainly know how to use hops!
