The Brewlette series is basically kegs sent out with no description, so you kind of have to guess what it is. The pub doesn’t know until they put it on. In this case, some sort of strong stout. Medium brown, a chocolatey stout with tartness and coffee. The tartness is mild, deliberate. Moderate bitterness. Odd brew. I think the tartness is off-putting

Draft pour at the brewpub. Pours a dark amber with a lighter malty aroma. Flavor is pretty boozy up front, but has some decent malty flavor and some bitter hop finish. Decent beer here, but expected a little more. Would drink again though for sure.

Draft pour at the brewpub. Pours yellow with a faint grainy aroma. Slightly sweet malt flavor up front. Not a whole lot of flavor going on here, but this is an extremely easy drinking light summer type beer. I’m enjoying this.

22 oz bottle pour split. Pours a caramel color with a really nice hop aroma. Super citrus flavors with a ton of hops. Drinks easy and makes for a solid IPA here. I’ll drink this again. Good beer.

Bomber bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, ID. Aroma is citrusy, piney, dough, light caramel. Pours hazy orangeish-copper with a collapsing off-white head that leaves a ring of big-bubbly foam (is it just me or do all Iron Horse beers have a head exactly like this?). Taste is bittersweet with flavors of citrus rind, pine, soap, floral. Body is on the thin side, carbonation average; lingering bitter finish. Decent.

Bottle - Sweet and acidic and a bit of pine. Cloudy orange with a thin white head. Sweet light malts and a light hop bitterness. Caramel and sweetness, more like an English style. Still nice.

Cool label and name idea. The 22oz bomber pours with an amber to copper colored body that supports a tall tan head of foam. The aroma has a mix of malts, slivers of molasses, muted citrus hops and some floral hop notes. The taste starts with bitter tangelo and grapefruit hops as it moves into a thin body experience about midway. The hops stay bitter but become laced with resiny notes from time to time. There is a decent malt backbone to this that’s well off in the background.

Bottle shared by Duchammer: Poured a hazy yellow with white head. Aroma was kinda of putting soggy cardboard. The taste was a nice sweet mellow honey with that wheat grain mix, didn’t get much ginger. A nice refreshing beer if you get past the aroma.

22oz bomber pours with a amber colored body that supports a tan head of tall foam. The aroma offers up some malts, a thin bit of roasted malts, a dash of toffee, a sliver of pine hops, a touch of dank onion like hops and a biscuit malt sort of thing. Overall there’s enough hops going on to keep the varied maltiness at bay. The taste has a distinctive Arragant Bastard Ale to it, which I enjoy. I get roasted malts, some pine hop goodness and then a mild dank onion hop spiciness. Nice! It has a pleasing malty to roasted malt base, a good dose of pine hop bitterness and smooth hop flavor. I dig the double rainbow.

Found a date on the bottle that says: \"04.1614.\"
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice hazy orange color with a slight transparency about it allowing for some light carbonation to be seen rising. The lacing is fairly thick and shows some nice looking rings.
The smell showcases a nice citrus to pine aroma and lets in a fairly nice sweet maltiness as it warms.
The taste had a nice bittersweetness all the way through letting the citrus and piney hops combine wonderfully with the malts. The aftertaste was the typical AIPA of sorts of letting a great bittersweet pine and citrus combine pretty good. There was a nice long dry bittersweet finish.
On the palate, it sat about a light to medium on the body and still carried a good harshness to assault my mouth and tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good AIPA well worthy of having again.
