22oz bomber pours with a amber colored body that supports a tan head of tall foam. The aroma offers up some malts, a thin bit of roasted malts, a dash of toffee, a sliver of pine hops, a touch of dank onion like hops and a biscuit malt sort of thing. Overall there’s enough hops going on to keep the varied maltiness at bay. The taste has a distinctive Arragant Bastard Ale to it, which I enjoy. I get roasted malts, some pine hop goodness and then a mild dank onion hop spiciness. Nice! It has a pleasing malty to roasted malt base, a good dose of pine hop bitterness and smooth hop flavor. I dig the double rainbow.

Found a date on the bottle that says: \"04.1614.\"
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice hazy orange color with a slight transparency about it allowing for some light carbonation to be seen rising. The lacing is fairly thick and shows some nice looking rings.
The smell showcases a nice citrus to pine aroma and lets in a fairly nice sweet maltiness as it warms.
The taste had a nice bittersweetness all the way through letting the citrus and piney hops combine wonderfully with the malts. The aftertaste was the typical AIPA of sorts of letting a great bittersweet pine and citrus combine pretty good. There was a nice long dry bittersweet finish.
On the palate, it sat about a light to medium on the body and still carried a good harshness to assault my mouth and tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good AIPA well worthy of having again.

After reading the description and deciding what glassware to use, I opted for a pint glass. I believe that will be okay.
The appearance was a nice hazy ruddy orange/brown color with a soft white one finger-ed white foamy head that quickly dissipates. No lacing is left.
The smell had a wonderful combination of wheat, honey and ginger, perfectly combined in my opinion, and actually the wheat seems a tad scaled back a bit as well.
The taste is quite revealing as there’s a nice sharp ginger flavoring coating the honey and wheat flavors. The aftertaste is super quick and somewhat ginger-ish that ends up leading to a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sits about a light to medium. The wheat seems to draw in a slightly heavier aspect to it, but luckily, it doesn’t over do it. The carbonation seems good and there is the typical wheat bite at the end like a good APWA should have.
Overall, hey I like this one and am glad to see more Ironwood on the shelves around here. Send more, especially this one in the Summer.

Grumbler purchase from the Breeze in.
I poured this into a pint glass.
The appearance is a deep hazy orange color with less than a half finger-ed white foamy head. There is some light semi - sticky lacing gracing the sides of the glass.
The smell had some nice citrus - like aspects over top of some burnt caramel malts.
The taste was mainly malty sweet. There was a dry citrus aftertaste with the same finish.
On the palate, this one sits about a light to medium and gives off a pretty decent sessionable aspect to it. Carbonation seems to be fairly harsh and pounds my tongue into submission.
Overall, good APA worthy of having again. It might not be anything over the top, but still good.

Robert brought this one back from a trip to Portland. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer gushed a black color with an enormous beige head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was cherry, raisin, malt and a bit of licorice. The flavor was cherry, plum, raisin, molasses and licorice. Medium length cherry and raisin finish. Medium body though overcarbonated. Interesting.

On my way home from Hangar on the wharf, I picked up a howler of this from Breeze In, Juneau, AK.
I poured this into a pint glass.
The appearance is an extremely dark brown close to black color with a decent amount of an off white foamy lacing trying to grace the sides of the glass but slide for the most part.
The smell tried to have the milky sweet chocolates and roasty coffee to somewhat vanilla-ness up front, but for the most part, there’s a ton of dark fruits in the front as well. I don’t mind it, but it just does seem a little weird for the \"milk/sweet stout\" style. Anyways, I shall proceed.
The taste was pretty much the same even as it warmed. There is a quick sweet chocolate to dark fruit aftertaste with a long dry and somewhat butery finish.
On the palate, it sits a moderately light to medium and has a very extreme sessionable quality to it. Amazingly enough, I’m trying to figure out how sessionable a \"milk/sweet stout\" can be, well, Iron Horse did it. The carbonation has got to be one of the smoothest of any \"milk/sweet stouts\" I’ve ever had, weird, but its almost as if its too smooth.
Overall, this beer is so smooth it almost makes one think is this really a \"milk/sweet stout?\" As I know it did that for me. I’d have this again and would love to have it with some lemon meringue pie.

Draught at Kokopelli, Port Angeles
Dark brown color with red shades, and creamy beige head. The body is a bit lighter than expected, the mouthfeel is smooth; good mix of roasted malts and chocolate flavor; correct bitterness.
Akin to some Scotch Ale. Pleasant.

Med brown color. Sweet lactose nose. The mouth is very malty, but too cloying and rich. Too sweet not much depth. Not horrible but wouldn’t reorder.

On tap at Belmont Station. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A light grainy nose with some lemons. Grass, lemons, very earthy mellow malt, caramel, toast. OK. Pretty tasty.
