Sample at the Tap House Grill in Seattle. Murky brownish color with a medium dense light beige head that recedes slowly to a film. Patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate malt and coffee. Medium body with a sweet malty character and flavors of grain, toffee and cocoa. The finish is toasty malt with a lingering sweet aftertaste that leaves hints of licorice. Above average overall.

Bomber shared with brenn79. Bought this at Super 1 in CDA, ID. Aroma is perfumy, floral, caramel. Pours cloudy orange with a dissipating off-white head. Taste is bittersweet and tangy, nice and hoppy. Carbonation is average, body medium. Tasty beer. I really wasn’t expecting too much given the nodescript label.

Flavour is tofffee, coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, mild liquorice as well as some slight notes of spices. Balanced and quite nice. A bit thin in the palate for 7.8%. Some cookies in the aftertaste.

Bomber. I have me three small Washington State brewed IPAs to compare and contrast. First up is Iron Horse. Bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID. This bottle looks nothing like what’s pictured here. It’s labeled "Iron Horse IPA." Pours a cloudy burnt orange with a two-finger cream-colored head with nice retention; leaves decorative lacework. Aroma is citrusy, piney, bready. Taste is bittersweet and very IPAish. Has a spicy finish. Carbonation is medium-high, body is medium, prickly mouthfeel. This is a quality IPA here. I don’t understand the low scores.

Bomber. Bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID. Pours a super cloudy orange with a small off-white soapy head that dissipates into a collar too quickly--this is one ugly beer. Aroma is faint caramel, grain. Taste is lightly sweet with a faint bitter finish. Tastes a little grainy. Medium-bodied with average carbonation. It’s not bad, it’s just a really dull beer. It would make a perfect camping/fishing/poker beer that doesn’t require a lot of thought. Easy, simple drinking.

22 oz. bottle, pours an opaque murky orange with a small white head. Aroma of tropical fruits with mandarin oranges, peach and mango, citrus hops, and soap. Flavour of quite soapy hops, floral notes, some tropical fruits (though subdued compared to what was detected on the nose), and some dirty spices. Quite good, though a bit dirty tasting.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours medium orange amber with a slight beige head. Aromas of pine and grapefruit with a strong roast malt backdrop. Near full bodied. Flavor is an interesting resin/grapefruit mix. It’s pretty hoppy with a decent malt backbone. Not harsh but very strongly hoppy. Finishes fairly dry and very bitter.
