Description
Eik & Tid (Oak & Time) is a farmhouse beer inspired brewery in Oslo, Norway dedicated to making sour and wild beer the nordic way.
Our entire brew setup is customized to fit the raw beer brewing process. By modifying surplus dairy tanks from Norwegian farms, we where able to get what we needed at an affordable cost. We also like the added bonus of upcycling derelict equipment instead of getting new made and shipped half across the globe.

5cl pours a clear gold with some cloudy, white head. Nose is very interesting, some grainy notes like rye or grains of paradise, a little cold smoke, some straw, some yogurt, lemon. Flavor is preserved lemon, minerally, straw, passion fruit, yogurt. Medium acid, high minerality. 7 4 7 4 14. Very unique. More than the sum of its parts.

On tap at Håndverksølfestivalen 2017. An unclear golden-orange colored beer with a minimal sized off-white head. It's fruity on the nose, with a light white bread aroma in the back. Citrusy funk, vinegar notes and a lactic touch. It's tart as hell, dry and nicely carbonated, with both vinegar, lactic acid, lemon and a generic fruityness. Notes of white bread in the finish. Lasting citrusy, funky and tart finish. Sure nice, but perhaps a bit too much on the sour side. 170610

On tap at Håndverksølfestivalen 2017. It's a hazy pale golden colored beer with a dense, fingerthick white head. The aroma is bready and fruity, with a lemony sourish touch. Some pickled cucumber-like herbal notes. It's medium bodied and nicely carbonated, with a tart, light funky flavor. Bread and a touch of yeast in the back, with sourish lemony flavors up front. Lasting finish. The Sorachi Ace hops didn't shine much here, but it's a pleasant beer no matter. Not a beer to drink much of though. 170610

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. #50. Drukket på Lillehøgda. Småhissig. Lysebrunt luftig skum som forsvinner fort. Mørk rødbrun. Lett surølaroma. Spor av kirsebær. Smaken har et visst preg av trær & skog. Forbausende anonymt.

Keg at Craft Beer Helsinki. Hazy deep pink, small pink head. Aroma of raspberry sorbet. Mid sweet with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Sweet malt base, countered by mildly tart frozen raspberries. No bitterness. Not very complex.
