Description
Eik & Tid (Oak & Time) is a farmhouse beer inspired brewery in Oslo, Norway dedicated to making sour and wild beer the nordic way.

Our entire brew setup is customized to fit the raw beer brewing process. By modifying surplus dairy tanks from Norwegian farms, we where able to get what we needed at an affordable cost. We also like the added bonus of upcycling derelict equipment instead of getting new made and shipped half across the globe.

Growler, Zwanze Day, Nøgne Ø. An unclear, yellow beer with more or less no head. The aroma is pretty similar to Ren & Pen, but more subtle, even on the juniper. White bread, sourmash, lemon juice, some forest and hints of juniper branches in the aroma. Flavorwise it’s much the same, but it feels even more acidic and sour than Ren & Pen does. It’s still slightly salty and mineralish in the mouth, smooth and oily, with something meaty or protein-like in a strange way. White bread, pale malts mash and lemon juice in the flavor, with a good dash of forest. Lasting finish. Too acidic and sour this one, guess it could give you a burning throat after a glass or two, but it’s a nice beer anyway. Prefer the Ren & Pen marginally over this one. 161001

Growler, Zwanze Day, Nøgne Ø. An unclear, yellow beer with more or less no head. White bread, sourmash, lemon juice, some forest and juniper branches in the aroma. Slightly salty in the mouth, mineralish and quite acidic. Dry and flat, still smooth on the palate, oily and almost meaty protein-like. Hard to explain actually. White bread, mash and lemon juice in the flavor, with some forest. Lasting finish with rhubarb showing up in addition to what’s known initially. A bit too acidic and sour this one, but it’s sure a nice brew. 161001
