Cantillon ? That’s the time machine. You’ll leave the modern civilization, goodbye to the noise, goodbye to the world.
"But where are we ?", you will ask yourself.
Well, you are in a family brewery where Lambic, Gueuze, Faro and Kriek are made and where nothing has changed since 1900 when it was founded. The Van Roy-Cantillon family welcomes you and invites you to discover a fabulous world. Beers, tools and brewing process are still the same as in the beginning.
Red copper containers, barrels, some of them more than 100 years old, and walls of bottles constitute the scenery for your visit.
Maybe you’ll be lucky to see the brewing or the bottling, maybe you ’ll see how barrels are cleaned or how fruit beers are made in summer. Maybe you’ll be lucky to see the brewing or the bottling, maybe you ’ll see how barrels are cleaned or how fruit beers are made in summer.
Anyway, you’ll be able to taste a real traditional Gueuze-Lambic and if you would like to know more about the Kriek or the Framboise, just ask the brewer.

Bottled in 09.2009. from R2M (Rome - wine and beer store) My second order in 22.03.2010 Znakomity i bardzo wytrawny i cierpki lambick. Metny o zltym zabarwieniu, glebokim a po dolewce drozdzy z butelki jak zoltko jajka, wogole nieprzeswitujaca ciecz. Kwasowosc mocna i niektorych nowicjuszy moze przytloczyc. Troche przez te cierpkosc trudno sie degustowalo te spora butelke o,75cl. Ale klasa i klasyk zarazem. Aromat morelowo-brzoskwiniowy goruje nad innymi doznaniami. Polecam to kwasne piwo to elegandzkiego objadu w gronie rodziny.

Vintage 2007. Bottle from R2m (Rome) in 13.02.2010. Heavily sour, full body, long verry dry and sour finish, raisin, minimal head, fruitty, red grappe and lot of blueberry, littly peppery. Almost 5 years in my cellar. Lambick to moj ulubiony gatunek, a owocowy tym bardziej i wlasnie z winogron jest the best. Wspaniale wytrawne, pachnialo po otwarciu w calej kuchni. Winne octowe klimaty, totalnie wspaniale, geste ciemne niczym krew wampira:) zero piany i 100% flory bakterujnej, bretty tancza i spiewaja w kieliszku do burgundzkich win. Doskonala alternatywa do wytrawnego wina Merlot. Doskonale poprawiala strawnosc gesiego mieska przy objedzie. Klasa, klasa i klasa. Tak powinno smakowac luksusowe wino, ze o piwach nie wspomne.

Bottle from Josh's cellar thank you for sharing it!
Dirty gold color with a thin bubbly white heat that dissipates quickly. Earthy funky aroma and flavor with a tartness that comes more from the fruit than the brett. Really nice brew.

Bottle shared with Simon from Stockholm, at Cantillon, 5th February 2026. Simon had warned me on this 2025 bottle, but I went for it any way. It poured quite cloudy more than most Cantillon beers, aroma is grosses and grape skin, taste is fruity, grapes, wood, not so complex and odd unclean mouth feel, disappointing, maybe too young, not sure

Bottle. Bottled 07 november 2023, 7.5%. Color: Clear purplish red, lightly pink head. Aroma: Grapes, Brett funk, leather. Taste: Moderate tart, light sweetness, red grapes, other red fruits (Strawberry, some raspberry), citrus fruit, leathery and bit stable-like funk. Oak wood, some tannins. Medium body, below average carbonation. One of the least editions of St Lamvinus I've had so far. Still nice though.

Tap at Be.Re., Rome, Italy. Pours loaded gold, with almost no foam. Aroma is fruity and Himalayan pepper, orange peel. Body is average, with almost no carbonation. Taste is medium sour, with some bitterness and peppery feeling. Final is still pretty intense, pungent.

Просто эталон Гёзе. Невероятный аромат, хоть и весьма простой. Просто разное сено с деревом. Во вкусе добавляется цитурсовая нотка. Нереальный баланс и простота.

On tap. Pours a pale copper color with light head. Aromas of farmyard, musty grapes, citrus and sharp wheaty malts. Flavors follow same with a little less funk and additional tart grapes.

Pours a clear, slightly darker blonde. Surprisingly slow rising, stable white head. Scent is typical cantullon funk. Slightly more woody perhaps than the regular OG, touch more pronounced and only a slight whiff of what seems to be cognac. Taste is full, at the very first hit, the barrels deliver their aroma's, even a touch of seemingly sweet character. Refined aroma from the cognac, more gentle persuasive 'sweet' touch from the rum. Obviously the lambic isnt overpowered, and is still acidic, funky, woody, typical cantillon. Outspokenly mineral. Is it just me, or do the 50n 4e's get better and better ? Wasnt a big fan of the series before but it's riging up the ranks when they do stuff like this !
