Odd brew that was well liked at my local pub. I hated it. With no exaggeration, it smelled like a cow pasture. It was very light, clear, with a billowy head. It tasted of corn, hay, and cow manure, great if you’re looking for the "farm experience". Aftertaste had hints of molasses that weren’t bad, but by that point I was already pretty disgusted. One of the worst beers ever.

Thankfully unskunked, I pulled it off the shelf the very day it arrived. Pours with a very light hop nose, somewhat grassy and spicy, but primarily citric. Near straw color but with a pleasing fluffy creamy head, with heavy white lacing. Clean fermentation profile, with a surprising fullness of palate per the style (which is about medium). A soft carbonation contributes to this creamy mouthfeel. Malts are obviously in scant quantity, but lightly bready. Aided by being a fresh sample, this is one of the better pale lagers I’ve tried, and completely exceeded my expectations.

Pour is a clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is grassy and corny. Flavor is typical lager with some malts and wet paper taste. Watery lager is all it is.

Bottled. Pale yellow with small, brief head. Light lemon aroma.Sweet and watery with very light body and low bitterness. All that prevails is a vague, artificial lemon flavour.

Bottle at London Gathering Nov 2005. I tried to make this more interesting by pronouncing the name in a French accent. It didn’t work. Pale gold colour with tight thin white head. Dull pale malt leads to the realisation that this is a dull global lager.

Bottled. pale golden, small head. Aroma of mashed apples. Sweet with notes of black currant and som very light grassy hops. The mouthfeel is clean and hard and the bitterness low.

Bottled. Mahogany colour, small head. Aroma of honey and vegetables. Too sweet with clean, hard mouthfeel. Only lighly roasty. The honey flavour is pleasant, but it’s added to a very primitive beer.

Bottled. Pale amber, average head. Neutral aroma. Orangey, caramelly crystal malt flavour. Sweet, rounded and medium bodied with low-medium bitterness.
