Not completely sure why I picked this one up; here goes anyway. Aroma is slightly skunky but I’ve encountered worse. Corn, malts, and a little sweetness. Clear golden with a pillowy head. Wow, it’s not horrible. Some sweet malts, adjuncts, and a touch of hops are evident in this one. Body is fairly smooth. While it’s certanly not the worst beer I’ve ever had I can’t think of a reason to drink this one again.

Toohey’s new? Well if a 7+ year old beer is new? A little musty on the lid pop, then it clears to a sweet american malt liquor aroma. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color and a appearance. On the palate, it provides a good above average tingly carbonation. The taste is an interesting leathery lager taste, yet slightly repulsive in it’s own way. Overall a little more coarse than I expected for a simple pale lager. Has more alky personality than a typical 4.6% lager.

Bottle from Bottle Barn. Label indicates it’s a "draught beer". Something of a herbal/paper aroma. Darkish gold color with a head that went quickly. A bit thin bodied with mild carbonation. Starts a bit malty. The herbal/paper is present, and the finish is a balance of sweet and the whatever. It tends towards dryness, and it is not annoying - just a bit off the ordinary. The oddness gives it a plus over the standard pale lagers of the world. Better than American macros. By far.

Bottled (BB 08/2007)
Clear golden color, decent white head. Metallic, grassy hoppy aroma with strange pear fruityness. Sweet, corn-fruity flavor, light woody hops. Acutally quite similar to Fosters.

Bottled. Clear golden, creamy head. Aroma of boiled vegetables. Very sweet (well, so much for the "extra dry"). Syrupy and mushy. Industrial crap without any redeeming features.

I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to try a new beer at Outback, of all places. Better than most American macrolagers, with a darker-than-average body and detectable grassy hops and dry, toasty malt. Crisply carbonated. Rather thin and bland, but not offensive.

Pour is a blond with a fizzy white head. Aroma is some sweet malts and a bit of biscut. Flavor has a touch of hops with some breadyness and hay. An ok lager. Had a sample at a beer tasting and have seen single bottles of this for dirt cheap.

33 cl bottle, dated Best Before 11/14/07. Twist-off cap inside of which seems to be cricket trivia. Pours pale, but with a bit more amber than the average American macro. Rocky head brings up some oxidation, then a bit of hop. Too much corn sweetness up front, but hop bitterness way at the back of the throat. A bit more malt to it for this category, but with adjunct added. Merely okay, but I’d hoped I could enjoy an Australian beer that isn’t Foster’s.

Bottle. Very refreshing, but in all other aspects the same old, boring, poor pale lager.
