Draught. Brown with a medium head. Much lacing. Aroma is sweet malt with mushrooms., Light body with more mushroom. Finish is a little malt and a lot of mushroom. I like mushrooms, but this is like swimming in them.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Pours orange-gold, slightly cloudy, with a bold, white head. Strong hop aroma, citrus and pine. Some welcomed malty sweetness in front of the flavor, followed by a piney finish and lingering bitterness. Strikes a very pleasant balance. Good beer.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Pours pale gold with a medium, all white head. A fairly hoppy aroma, laden with pine and citrus, and some malt and caramel. Wonderful flavor with great balance. Sweet up front with more caramel, then plenty of bitterness to finish it out. Average body and carbonation. Some lingering bitterness in the finish. A fantastic APA.

Draught. Poured black with medium white head. Black with medium head. Hoppy aroma, almost like an IPA but with Belgian funkiness from the Belgian yeast. Moderate lacing. Full flavour malt with a hoppiness and a spiciness. This is not a Belgian strong, nor a black IPA but something of a combination of the two.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Chevy Chase Wine, 3/3/10
Aroma: Nose of grapefruit and peach hops, caramel malts, orange, and grass
Appearance: Pours a mostly clear golden-orange color with a frothy white head and lots of lace
Flavor: Taste is sweet citrus fruits up-front, and lots of dryness in the middle palate and finish
Palate: It has a long duration, medium body, and a clean and oily mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This is a pretty solid IPA. It has a good citrus nose and flavor, and transitions into a nice bitter IPA flavor. I like this beer, a rather enjoyable one, and a nice representation of the style.
