(Draught at the brewpub, Potsdam, 23 July 2010) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with bread, hay, grass and a touch of tropical fruit. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of bread, grass, a touch of tropical fruit and a gentle grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Kind of average, but refreshing and nice.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw, as well as lighter notes of yeast and sulphur. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw as well as lighter notes of yeast and sulphur, leading to a bitter finish where the notes of straw and sulphur lingers.

Draft. A red-brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as light notes of bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and bread.

05/03 Draught at the brewpub. It poured hazy brown body with smaller brownish head. Very nice malty aroma, caramel and some roasted malt. Coffee bitterish flavor but well balanced, even slightly overwhelmed with some sweeter dark malty caramel and fruitiness. Fuller in body with longer, sweetish caramel finish. Liked this beer, which is much better than their helles.

05/03 Draught at the brewpub. It had hazy pale golden body with small head. Quite fine aroma, unpasteurized sourish hops, slightly grainy. Very weak flavor, some fine chalky and bready malts and yeast, but nothing too much indeed. Thin body gives short finish, where some sourish lemony hops are showing up again. Pretty boring watery brewpub beer.

Draught, at 5.2% at the brewpub. Poured a murky yellow body with a medium sized thick white head. Nice. Grainy nose, some vegetabley hop, eggy. The taste is odd... meaty?!!? some maltiness,yeasty, very light lemon, some bread. Ehh... Ok but not as nice as the dark.

Draught, at 5.2% at the brewpub. Poured a murky, almost opaque brown body with a slightly off white head. A nice coffeeish soft roasty malty nose, some notes of plums. Sweet obviously and lovely. Lightish roasty, caramelly,slightly sourish, soft taste, no alcohol. Nice but not very complex and far from stellar.

Aroma is light to moderate malty, light caramel notes, moderate yeasty, fruity banana, fresh banana, light rubber. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is creamy, carbonation is lively. [20090918]

Unclear medium to dark brown amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, hay, nutty, caramel, sweet roasted, light hoppy, light notes of licorice - star anis. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration.
