Medium brown body. Deep dark red hazy body. Roasty burnt wooden aroma with strawy notes. Dry roasty wooden earthy taste with caramelly burnt notes. Light body, almost watery. Mild mouthfeel. Dry strawy earthy roasty aftertaste with hoppy herbal notes. Quite nice. (0.3l draft at brewpub. Also rated in 2007, when it was infected.)

Medium shiny white lasting coarse head. Hazy yellow body. Mealy grassy spicy aroma . Dry herbal grassy mealy taste wth light medicinal notes. Dry medicinal aftetaste. Quite nice. (0.3l draft at the brewpub.)

Milder Antrunk, ein rauchiges Aroma stößt erst später hinzu, so bleibt eine deutliche wässrige Lücke. Das rauchige Aroma reicht aber auch nur gerade so aus, um als Rauchbier durchzugehen. Zwar üerwiegt der Ton, dennoch gefährdet besonders der malzige und danach feinherbe Nachgeschmack den Rauchton. Test vom 8.10.2007, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 9,12,11,9,-,11 - 10,63

Würziger, stärker werdender Antrunk. Die ab dem Mittelteil präsente Herbe steht dabei in gutem Verhältnis zur Hopfigkeit, die Würzigkeit schmiegt sich gut daran an. Ein zunhemend malziger Ton fügt sich, durch die Herbe gelenkt, gut ein. Leckeres, zum Ende hin passend bitter werdendes Pils! Test vom 8.10.2007, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 6,12,12,14,-,13 - 12,10

Malziger Antrunk, direkt steigend zu einem röstmalzigen Kaffeeton mit leicht schokoladiger Note. Konstant bleibt deses Aroma auch im Nachgeschmack noch malzig-würzig bestehen, sehr süffig, weich, hintergründig herb. Im Nacheschmack dazu etwas bitter werdend. Sampled draught at Brauhaus an der Thomaskirche, Leipzig.
Very dark brown, cloudy. The coffee aroma gets more intense when you let the beer into your mouth. Light bodied, medium sweet, clean and mild. Low bitterness. Much kinder, but also less attractive then their pale pilsener.

Sampled draught at Brauhaus an der Thomaskirche, Leipzig.
Yellow and cloudy. Malt aroma. Dry and firmaly malty. Chewy with soft mouthfeel. Long pleasant grassy bitter finish. Crisp and very well balanced this is a an excellent thirst quencher and a great German style pilsener.
