Description
As the oldest microbrewery in Florida, we are committed to two great challenges: satisfying our thirst for a well-crafted brew, and fulfilling the need to contribute to a strong, vibrant community. Dunedin Brewery is founded on values that make these goals a reality; like yourself, we value the integrity to stand for a cause, the stability gained from working hard, and the experience of connecting with good people—our dedicated staff of beer enthusiasts or our loyal guests. There are plenty of things to do in Florida—even plenty of things to do in Tampa Bay—but we strive to be more than just a place and more than just a beer; we strive to meet the challenge of creating an amazing city and an amazing craft brew. Sláinte!

A golden ale with a thin creamy and lacing white head. A rather grainy mashed malt aroma with nice wafting British hops. In mouth, the same very grainy malt taste, British hops, oily mouthfeel more interesting than expected. Medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, May 23 2010.

A hazed golden amber wheat with a thin white head. Strong aroma of raspberry juice, a bit chemical bit not overly sweet or cloying. In mouth, a smooth raspberry wheat with nice raspberry juice, again with this mineral side, not bad. On tap at brewpub, May 23 2010.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours up hazy mahogany with tan head and spotty lacing. The aroma is musty malts, figs, some chocolate, earthiness and a sense of bourbon. The taste begins sweet with some crystal malts moving into some caramel, black licorice, some black strap molasses, persistent vanilla oakiness bourboniness. As the finish approaches and we head off into the after taste thin layers of chocolate and fig like earthiness bubble up amid the barrel notes.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours up hazy copper with gold edges and off white head. The aroma is punctuated by a pleasing dry hopping that delivers up hop spiciness and a mixture of grapefruit, lemon and tangelo hops to go along with mild sweetness in the background. The taste is pretty crisp with fresh spicy hops and then thinning some as semi tart and bitter citrus takes a foot hold. Off in the background is a thin sweet malt support structure failing to gain any ground on the hops. With the near watery body coming to an end at the finish I get spice and citrus hops hanging on into the after taste.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours up hazy copper - gold with white head. The aroma has a smooth sense of banana, pears, yeasty spice and grains. The taste begins with some sugary creaminess bringing up spices running into banana and grains. It gets a bit spicier as well as picking up mild bubble gum into the finish. Very tasty hefe.

Tap @ CCB, not the cask version.. pours amber, off-white head. Nice boozy nose and mouthfeel, though it remains not overpowering. Lots of oak goodness mixed with the bourbon, touch of vanilla, fruity with pear/apple and other fruits, mild caramel malts palate.

On cask at the Whole Foods / CCB Cask Event. It pours murky copper with tan head. The aroma is sweet full bourbon, sweet vanilla and oak totally cover up whatever red ale base beer was poured into the barrel. The taste is much the same with sweet and smooth bourbon, some vanilla sweetness and fairly subdued smooth sugar coated oak in the background. I get zero beer notes here.
